About The VH1 New York 2 TV Show
First it was Flav who chose another girl, then invited her back for another dose of humiliation, Tango won his princess fair and square, but she disrespected his mother and Tango didn't like that, so he dumped our princess live on air. Now she's back, will it be fourth time lucky for New York in VH1's T.V. show “I Love New York 2”.
We know who she is, our ghetto princess from New York, she's cussed and scratched her way into America's hearts and this girl is serious, she wants a man, not just any man, he needs to be strong enough to handle her, know just when to shut up or speak up, and he needs to be good in bed.
Tiffany Pollard, aka 'New York', aka 'HBIC' is still looking for true love and she's hoping the season two men might just be what she's looking for. This time our girl New York isn't just looking for some ghetto punk with a recording contract, hell no, she's got money and stardom already, she wants a man who's gonna love her just the way her Momma says deserves. Is she setting herself up for another humiliating round of tears and tantrums?
Episode one screens October 8, and New York sends five of the hopefuls home by shows end. Bye bye, see you at the reunion show, if you can make it.
Luckily our girl New York doesn't have to decide which guys to send home on her own, she's got help from her mom, Sister Patterson, who's in no mood to be nice, she wants the best for her daughter and she's quite prepared to take on any man when her daughter's heart is on the line. New York agrees, and after last season's antics, she says don't bother unless you're single and straight.
Show creators Chris Abrego and Mark Cronin decided to add an extra twist, the producers weren't going to be solely responsible for picking the contestants. Five of the twenty men have been personally hand-picked by Sister Patterson who took a real good hard look at their videos to make sure they're gonna be right for her daughter.
A second batch of five have been selected by the fans in online voting that wasn't without controversy amid accusations of vote rigging. Some of the men seem to be quite creative at getting votes, sometimes hundreds in a few minutes, while others seem to be losing votes. Are the producers of the VH1 T.V. show rigging the vote, or are they just recounting and removing false votes. Either way, it's created a storm and is sure to fire the fans up even more in support of their favorites.
So, who are our men vying for our ghetto princess' hand? Well, we've got more self-made men, more actors, more rappers, a couple of white guys, and even a tattooed midget. Most probably just want their ten minutes of fame, but that always makes a show more interesting anyway. Let's just see how far these guys are prepared to go to make a name for themselves and win the hand of our New York.
